The 'Networking the Arts' conference, 20-22 May 2004, was hosted by the Arts Council of Ireland in Cork to mark the Irish Presidency of the EU. The pre-conference announcement in the Arts Council of Ireland's newsletter can be viewed here. The conference, which focussed on issues of artists mobility, was attended by 60 people for 28 countries, including Risto Ruohonen (Chair) and Sarah Gardner (Executive Director). Jennifer Williams, Director of the Centre for Creative Communities, reported on the conference in the Centre's newsletter 'Interchanges'.
