IFACCA is proud to have partnered once again with the Culture Summit in Abu Dhabi for its 2025 edition, organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi (DCT), an IFACCA Affiliate Member. We extend our appreciation to DCT for their vision, fruitful collaboration and international exchange.

This edition, as part of this important partnership, IFACCA presented a panel session titled Culture as a Public Good: From Policy to Action moderated by Ms Magdalena Moreno Mujica, Executive Director of IFACCA with three authors from our extended report: Culture as a Public Good: Navigating its role in policy debates: Mr Farai Mpfunya, Dr Maru Mormina and Mr Pablo Raphael; together with Dr Byoung Gug Choung, Chair of Arts Council Korea and co-host of the 10th World Summit held in Seoul from 27 to 30 May 2025. The panel delved into the duality of culture as a dimension of society and culture as a sector, recognising the challenges in policy development and implementation in current times.

In addition, our Executive Director also contributed to another panel: Culture Wars: What’s at Stake for Cultural Businesses? alongside Mr John Prideaux, US Editor of the Economist and Dr Rodney Collins, Cultural Anthropologist.

We commend the Culture Summit’s well curated conference programme and inspiring cultural programme and look forward to continued international dialogue and exchange.
