In her upcoming report to the General Assembly, to be presented in October 2026, the United Nations Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights, Ms. Alexandra Xanthaki, will propose guidance on how to assess efforts to implement cultural rights.

The call for contributions will be opened from 15 April to 22 May 2026.

The contributions received will inform the research for the report of the Special Rapporteur. Unless specifically requested otherwise and provided they are in line with UN norms and standards, submissions will be posted on the webpage of the mandate at the OHCHR website and may be referenced in the reports.
