The board of IFACCA met on 1-2 November in Athens, hosted by the Hellenic Culture Organisation. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the research program and several new projects, to approve new memberships and the revision of national membership fees to align with the UN Scale for 2007-09, and to adopt the budget for 2008.
The meeting was followed by a visit to Thessaloniki to see the Museum of Byzantine Culture, the Royal Tomb at Vergina and other cultural sites, and to meet with local dignitaries including Thessaloniki’s Deputy Mayor for Culture, Vassilis Gakis.
