D'Art 30: Regulation of radio music

The survey formed part of an Arts Council of Finland research project to examine legislative and other types of regulation relating to music broadcast by public service broadcasters and commercial local radio stations in certain countries.

D'Art 36: Defining intangible cultural heritage

The Scottish Arts Council and the Scottish Museums Council have commissioned Professor Alistair McCleery to undertake a preliminary study of the issues, both theoretical and practical, in making an inventory of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) in Scotland in conformity with the UNESCO Convention on Intangible Cultural Heritage.

D'Art 34: Arts and Ecological Sustainability

In 2009, Arts Council England and IFACCA worked together to collate examples of good practice in supporting artists or arts organisations with creative and practical responses to ecological concerns such as environmental sustainability and climate change.

D'Art 27: Major performing arts organisations: a review of the issues for funding agencies

This report brings together the three elements of the research project on the major performing arts sector: the 2006 D’Art question, the 2007 survey and the 2008 mini-summit. It provides a synthesis and overview of the key issues and dilemmas that were identified in the survey responses and in the mini-summit discussions.

This report analyses the length of time it takes for arts funding agencies to complete a grants giving process, from application closing date (or receipt of applications) through to notifying applicants of results.

D'Art 24: Ethics in cultural policy

Co-hosted by Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland, 01 April 2008, Finland

Cultural rights are just one category of human rights; other common human rights being civic, political, economic and educational rights. This D'Art was used to help gather information for a project of Finland’s Ministry of Education, Science and Culture on the ethical dimensions of cultural policy.
