In the afternoon of October 3, continuing the program of Wednesday's plenary session, the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Social Affairs gave its opinion on the draft Law on Cultural Industry Development.
Summarizing the basic contents of the Law on Cultural Industry Development project, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Huy Dung said that the development of the Law aims to promptly institutionalize the Party's guidelines on cultural industry development, focusing on Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW and relevant conclusions and directions; at the same time, improve the legal corridor, overcome gaps and bottlenecks, meet the requirements of digital transformation, international integration and socio-economic development in the new period.
According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung, Vietnam has many potentials and advantages to develop the cultural industry, but the results achieved are not commensurate; the link chain from creation, production, distribution to consumption is still limited; mechanisms and policies to support market development, mobilize resources and improve competitiveness are not synchronized.
