How can culture become a strategic investment priority rather than a sector competing for limited resources? This question was at the heart of the first session of UNESCO’s Online Dialogue Series on Advancing the Financing of Culture, organized on 9 July 2026, with the generous support of the European Union. Bringing together more than 50 representatives from 27 regional intergovernmental organizations and development banks, the dialogue launched a new UNESCO workstream dedicated to advancing more sustainable and diversified financing for culture.
