On 15 April, the Swedish Arts Council submitted an interim report to the government. The theme of the report is to promote cultural tourism in connection with the inquiry A cultural canon for Sweden, which was presented last autumn. On 15 December, the assignment will be finalised.

In the appropriation letter for 2026, the Swedish Arts Council was tasked with implementing initiatives to promote cultural tourism within Sweden. This applies to places that are connected to the hundred works that are part of the cultural canon.
