In Lomé, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts announces a major administrative reform aimed at facilitating the exercise of the artistic profession. In an information note signed on March 26, 2026, Minister Isaac Tchiakpé informs the sector's stakeholders that the artist's certificate is now issued by the Togolese Copyright Office (BUTODRA).

This measure is part of a dynamic of simplification of administrative procedures and better organization of the cultural sector. It is in line with the provisions of Law No. 2016-012 on the status of the artist, in particular in its article 28, which regulates the conditions for the exercise of this profession in Togo.
