The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of the so-called Cultural Compass – the strategic orientation of the European Union in the field of culture, which establishes a common framework for the development of the cultural and creative sectors in the Member States. The interlocutors emphasised that the Cultural Compass is not just a programme document, but an ambitious vision of long-term coordination of cultural policies, which must take into account the diversity of national environments, while ensuring the comparability of data, measurability of effects and greater interconnection of measures.
