Within the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Tunisia and Nigeria in the cultural field and in an effort to further open up South-South international cooperation and aim to further intensify artistic and cultural exchange between the two countries, a preparatory meeting was held today, Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Ministry's headquarters to lay the first building blocks for cooperation in the cultural field in its various specializations, especially intangible heritage, in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Nigeria in Tunisia, Mrs. Belinda Elfo Lawrence, and the President of the Nigerian Agency for Technical Cooperation, Mr. Buba Yusuf Yacoub, in addition to a number of Ministry officials.
The meeting dealt with a number of topics, including the exchange of experts in the fields of audiovisual and the restoration and valuation of tangible heritage.
The Nigerian side has proposed a draft program for artistic and cultural cooperation between the Republic of Tunisia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which will be discussed at the level of international cooperation interests in the two countries.
