The European Union was represented at the highest level. Commissioner for Culture, Youth, and Sport Glenn Micallef participated in the opening plenary session, thematic debates, and side events, including sessions on culture, heritage, and crisis, as well as culture and well-being. Commissioner Micallef met with numerous counterparts, including UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture Ernesto Ottone, and with a number of Ministers of Culture from Europe and across the regions to explore how multilateral cultural policy can promote inclusion, sustainability, and resilience worldwide.
