As part of the implementation of the regional project “Latin America and the Caribbean: Strengthening capacities for resilient communities through sustainable tourism and heritage safeguarding”, UNESCO conducted a training workshop on intangible cultural heritage and sustainable urban development in Santo Domingo, whose Colonial City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1990.
