Launch of the public consultation phase for Strategy 2030

Arts Council Malta, 01 August 2025 , Malta

Arts Council Malta is launching the public consultation for the development of its upcoming strategy cycle that will lead it towards 2030. Strategy 2030 is being drafted on the basis of a thorough assessment of Strategy 2025, coming to a close, and in-depth discussions and analyses that are assessing the current context and looking ahead to identify future challenges and opportunities for the cultural and creative industries and sectors.

Arts Council Malta is preparing to draft its new strategy for the years 2026 – 2030. All interested stakeholders of the cultural and creative industries and sectors are invited to participate. Spaces are limited and the early expression of interest to attend is advised. The sessions will allow participants to reflect on Strategy 2025 and its achievements so far, with an aim to look ahead towards the next 5-year cycle. Criticism, suggestions and recommendations will be registered in order to help build a vision and guidelines for Arts Council Malta to follow.

The sessions will be run in English but contributions in Maltese are encouraged.

The sessions will be run by consulting company PKF who was adjudicated this research phase following a call for quotations, and overseen by Arts Council Malta.

The desk research and internal consultation phases are now being accompanied by the public consultation. This is made of two parts. The first part consists of a series of 6 themed focus groups (see below). The second phase, to follow soon, will ask interested stakeholders and partners to review and provide feedback on a draft strategy document.
