We are pleased to share that Ms Julie Diphofa (South Africa) is IFACCA’s new Deputy Chair. Ms Diphofa was recently elected Deputy Chair during the 72nd meeting of the IFACCA Board in Montevideo in late August 2024. Ms Diphofa currently serves as the Interim Chief Executive Officer of the National Arts Council of South Africa, and joined the IFACCA Board as a Director in October 2023. In accepting this position, she said, “I am honoured to take on the position of Deputy Chair and look forward to advancing international dialogue on arts and culture, which is vital for our communities.”
Speaking on behalf of the Federation, our Executive Director Magdalena Moreno Mujica affirmed, “Julie Diphofa has been an active member and champion of IFACCA for some time, serving as a Director of the IFACCA Board. We are thrilled with the appointment and welcome Ms Diphofa’s key contributions to the governance and the strategic direction of IFACCA.”
