Meredith Okell has been appointed to the role of Communications and Engagement Manager, a newly created position in the restructure of the Secretariat, led by IFACCA's new Executive Director.
Meredith joins the Secretariat with a wealth of communications expertise and membership engagement knowledge. Most recently, she has completed a communications contract within Fellowship Relations at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. From January 2016 to April 2017, Meredith worked with the IFACCA team for a contracted period to support the delivery of the 7th World Summit in Valletta, Malta. From 2012 to 2015 she worked for the Australia Council for the Arts, a national member of IFACCA, in various roles including managing International Development and Market Development projects, and the publication of the inaugural Arts Nation report. Between 2000 and 2012, Meredith was based in the United Kingdom. During this time she worked in a number of positions in the cultural and education sectors, managing projects and literature festivals for the Charleston Trust, overseeing arts education projects, and delivering communications for the University of Cambridge. Meredith holds a BA Hons in English Literature from the University of Sussex (2008), and a Master of Philosophy in Culture & Criticism from the University of Cambridge (2011).
