Managing diversity?
This publication has a double aim: in the first place it explores the complex ins and outs of managing diversity through a pallet of essays and stories of practitioners in the field of arts and culture; in the second place it explores diversity through art – through the eye of the photographer Ahmet Polat. Polat, born in 1978 to a Turkish father and a Dutch mother, has made photographing diversity in society a leitmotif of his work.
At the beginning of 2008, two organizations decided to bundle their common efforts to explore the role, potential and limits of art when it comes to understanding the diversity of the societies we are living in.
