Final report of the expert meeting on international cooperation

The final report of the expert meeting on international co-operation held in Madrid, Spain, from July 10 to 12, 2007, is now available on the UNESCO website.
In July 2007, a meeting of independent experts, financed by the UNESCO/Spain Funds-in-Trust, was co-organized by UNESCO, the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and the Inter-University Institute for Cultural Communication. The meeting aimed to reflect on the implementation of the provisions of the Convention relating to international cooperation, and more particularly, to identify existing difficulties and to propose implementation modalities. This information document contains the final report as well as the meeting conclusions. the objectives of the meeting were to reflect on how to implement the articles of the Convention relating to international cooperation, identify existing difficulties and propose operational arrangements.
The final report is among the working documents issued by UNESCO in anticipation of the first ordinary session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, to be held in Ottawa, Canada, on December 10 to 13, 2007.
