Volunteers with Arts or Cultural Organizations: A 2005 Profile
This Research Note (number 95) from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) shows that more than 1.6 million Americans volunteered with arts or cultural organizations in 2005. In contrast to volunteers with other types of organizations, arts volunteers are older, better educated, and more giving of their time. This note is the third in a series of NEA publications that investigate the connections between volunteering and the arts.
