New media scoping study report
The Australia Council has endorsed the recommendations of the New Media Arts Scoping Study, which was presented to the Council at its September meeting in 2006.
The Scoping Study's recommendations were developed through consultation – by way of interviews, focus groups and written submissions – with more than 100 people and organisations.
The Scoping Study includes a 10-year vision for media arts as a vital element of Australian arts, whose artists are internationally recognised and create innovative works based in a strong culture of experimentation, research and creative development, industry partnership, awareness and community engagement.
