Guidelines for the Protection and Welfare of Young People in the Arts
The Arts Council have published Guidelines for the Protection and Welfare of Children and Young People in the Arts Sector. These guidelines, the outcome of a two year process, aim to assist arts organisations in devising their own policies and procedures with regard to arts activity for children and young people. The 10 chapters in the 40-page publication include sections on codes of behaviour for staff; recruitment and selection; dealing with allegations against staff and handling accidents. The guidelines are the result of a process which started in 2004. Download the pdf HERE.
