Creating Connections - The Arts Council of Wales Annual Report 2004-05
The report focuses on ACW’s achievements which include investing additional funding to extend the community touring programme, Night Out, into Communities First wards with 112 performances. · Using the extra half a million pounds invested in the new Principality Building Society Collectorplan scheme to offer members of the public interest-free loans to purchase original works of art. · Successfully completing major capital works such as the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, Galeri in Caernarfon and the Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre in Newport. · Awarding 19 leading artists with Creative Wales grants totalling £215,000. · Allocating the additional funds for the Arts Outside Cardiff scheme to create access throughout Wales to high quality arts performances.
