Arts Advocacy Day Briefing Papers

National Assembly of State Arts Agencies [NASAA], March 2005, USA

As a national co-sponsor of Arts Advocacy Day (an annual event designed to give grassroots cultural advocates the opportunity to shape federal arts policy and educate members of Congress), the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies [NASAA] has released briefing papers for advocates to use with their respective members of Congress. Developed specifically for Arts Advocacy Day, the briefing papers provide background, action needed and talking points across various sectors. Briefing Papers are available [in word document form] on the following:

  • Federal Support of the Arts;
  • Federal Support of the Humanities;
  • Federal Support of Museums;
  • Federal Support of Arts Education;
  • Federal Support of International Cultural Exchange;
  • Federal Support of Arts Infrastructure for Disadvantaged Communities;
  • Enhancing the Tax Deductibility of Charitable Gifts;
  • Enhancing Communities' Transportation
  • Infrastructure through the Arts;
  • Improving the Visa Process for Foreign Guest Artists; and
