Scottish Cultural Resource Access Network - Archive

Anyone with an interest in Scottish culture from the Stone until the present day can have free trial access for a month to a vast web-based image archive - Scottish Cultural Resource Access Network (SCRAN) operating as a charity in Scotland. It encompasses images with expert text, and video/audio clips from over 350 galleries,museums and collections representing the culture and history of Scotland over the ages. It is accessed by a password on www.scran.ac.uk and used to support research and learning by a huge network of organisations and individuals. New functionality now allows users to create e-content just by clicking on images they want, and typing in their own text. For educational organisations, this means resources created by staff or students is web-accessible, copyright cleared, re-usable and re-purposable.
