The Regional Arts Lottery Programme: an evaluation
Until March 2003, the Regional Arts Lottery Programme (RALP) was the main national programme of small and medium-scale lottery funding for the arts in England. Between July 1999 and September 2002, the scheme made more than 2,000 awards worth £59.3 million. Based on an analysis of statistical data and interviews with successful – and unsuccessful - applicants, The Regional Arts Lottery Programme: an evaluation, by Annabel Jackson and Graham Devlin, presents a wealth of information about the functioning and impact of RALP. The recommendations of the evaluation helped shape the design of Arts Council England’s Grants for the arts. Order the report from the Arts Council’s publications distributor, Marston Books on 01235 465500, price £10. The Regional Arts Lottery Programme: an evaluation is also available online HERE.
