New Culture Minister Sarmīte Ēlerte takes office

On November 3, new Culture Minister Sarmīte Ēlerte took up her new role. She has put forward three priorities for her work: the strengthening of national identity, the consolidation of the nation’s cultural space, and the transfer of creative ideas into solutions for economic development.
