Six new faces
The Swiss Federal Council has appointed six new members to Pro Helvetia’s Board of Trustees. For the first time one of the seats has gone to a specialist in folk music. The new appointments also ensure that all arts disciplines and linguistic regions in Switzerland are fairly represented. However, the new Board of Trustees will only remain in office for two years. When the new Arts and Culture Promotion Act comes into force in 2012, the Board will be reduced to nine members but will be able to call on the services of a commission of experts.
