2.1 million for innovation culture
The Association of National Subsidised Museums (VRM), the Stedelijk Museum, the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK), Droog Design, Waag Society and Foundation STRP will receive a total of 2.1 million euro for innovation in the cultural sector.
All the projects are characterized by using modern technologies and smart partnerships with groups outside the cultural sector. The aim of this project is to a widen audience and to contribute to a better connection of art and culture in society.
The awards announced today are the result of the first round of the scheme. The 2nd round will start in January 2010. A total of four rounds are expected and Minister Plasterk has 12 million allocated for the entire system.
