National archives and heraldry awareness week: 18-23 May 2009
The Department of Arts and Culture and the provincial archives will host a National Archives and Heraldry Awareness Week from 18-23 May 2009.
The Archives and Heraldry Awareness Week is aimed at creating public awareness and appreciation of keeping records as part of the preservation of memories, history and heritage. We believe that the availability of and access to archival material plays a significant role in nation building and social cohesion.
