Assessment and projection of the Culture Council’s work with arts and education institutions
In the year 2008, the Education Area of the Council’s Citizenship Department carried out six national meetings with the directors and heads of arts (dance, theatre, music, visual arts, audiovisual) and preschool and basic education departments. These meetings facilitated conversations and rapprochements that had not previously taken place. In a participatory and reflexive space, they were able to negotiate areas of competence, to discuss the quality standards of education pertinent to art degrees in order to incorporate and implement them in the accreditation system.
They also made possible the completion, update and expansion of data bases to include not only universities, but also professional institutes, technical education centres, academies, among others.
For the year 2009 it is projected to:
- Network, understood as creating stories and relationships collectively with all the network’s members. Conversation, exchange, reflection, invitations, opinions, connections, information, etc are promoted.
- Create the artistic academic offer national directory that will be published at the Council’s Web site.
- To carry out technical meetings for each artistic area with international guests.
