Theatre as an excellent tool for schools
Theatre is an excellent tool to convey messages to students, teachers, parents and the general public, is the message being sent by the Directorate of School Counselling at the Ministry of Education (MINED). MINED is working with a theater group formed by students from two institutes of Managua, directed by Xiomara Centeno.
Centeno said the idea came from the Director of School Counselling, Giovanna Daly Lopez earlier this year, but materialized in the month of September, with Ramirez Goyena Institute and the Institute Experimental Mexico.
"The arts in general and theater in particular are extraordinary tools for School Counselling. Almost starting from scratch although Ramirez had Goyena theater group founded by Mrs. Socorro Bonilla Castellón and left him to promote the arts in education. These activities are done outside the class schedule and students should spend their free time to integrate into these groups, "said Centeno.
