The Arts Council opens a window on architecture debate

In 2007, Arts Council England commissioned research to give an independent, objective and fresh appraisal of the value of the Arts Council’s investment in Architecture Week.

The research was split into two phases. Phase one provides an overview of the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of Architecture Week, as it operated between 1997 and 2007. Phase two presents a number of options going forward.

We have consulted with our partners, RIBA and Architecture Centre Network, on the evaluation and development of these options and would now like to carry out further consultation with the architecture and built environment sectors to inform our assessment of what is the most effective way of engaging the public with art, architecture and the built environment.
