Renewal plan for the French Art Market
Christine Albanel, Minister of Culture and Communication, will make public the report which was submitted to her by Martin Bethenod and will present her Renewal Plan for the French Art Market at a press conference on Wendesday 2 April.
In a letter addressed to Christine Albanel on the 1st of August 2007, the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister asked her to make arrangements to ‘quickly rectify the French art market’, which is slowing down compared to its principal European counterparts– like the United Kingdom – and non-European counterparts, such as the United States and China.
At the press conference on the 2 April 2008, Christine Albanel will make public the report coming from the work of the mission driven by Martin Bethenod and will present the principal measures that make up the Renewal Plan for the French Art Market.
