Creating our future strategic plan consultation
An update on the Canada Council Canada Council for the Arts' consulation as it develops its 2008-2011 Strategic Plan.
The consultation was undertaken through an online survey and a series of meetings with stakeholders. The discussion paper Creating our future: An invitation to contribute to the strategic plan of the Canada Council for the Arts can be viewed on the Canada Council's website. The paper describes:
- The evolution of the Council’s support to the arts
- The Council’s fundamental values
- The Council’s core priorities for 2008-11
and has appendices on the current environment for the arts and the Council, and a range of facts about the Council’s funding.
The Council’s strategic plan will be developed over the northern hemisphere summer and early autumn, and will be reviewed by the board of the Canada Council during its 50th anniversary meeting in Montreal in October 2007. Once approved by the board, it will be released to the public and posted on the Council’s web site.
