Animating Democracy Post-Convention Resource Website
In June 2007, more than 1,100 arts and cultural leaders gathered in Las Vegas to explore what it takes to cultivate creative communities. Resources and materials from the event have been posted on the Americans for the Arts website.
Visitors to the site can find session notes and handouts from across the seven tracks—including resources from Animating Democracy: Basics and Best Practices of Arts and Engagement led by Barbara Schaffer Bacon and Pam Korza and The Risks and Rewards of Authentic Engagement: Effective Group Process led by Phillip Horn and Pat Tuecke. Visitors to the site can hear and download audio files of innovator sessions—including the Civic Engagement Innovator, Christopher Gates and the Leadership Innovator, Rha Goddess. And mark your calendars—the next Americans for the Arts convention, American Evolution: Arts in the New Civic Life, will be in Philadelphia, June 20-22, 2008!
