Young artists embark on epic career development opportunities
The Australia Council is getting set to provide five young and emerging producers with professional development opportunities in dance or new media art. The Council’s EPIC07 initiative will see five under-30s gain practical experience in managing a youth focused arts project, with mentoring support from a host cultural organisation. “Through support for contemporary youth arts and cultural projects, EPIC07 allows us to contribute to Australia’s artistic and social capital – with a particular focus on regional areas,†said Karilyn Brown, the Council’s Executive Director of Community Partnerships and Market Development.
