Multicultural Arts Professional Development Programme Extended

Western Sydney will soon have its own, shortened version of the Multicultural Arts Professional Development program (MAPD). Arts and cultural managers, presenters, directors, producers and artists based in the area are strongly encouraged to apply. Initiated by the Australia Council in 2002, and taught in Melbourne, MAPD is a nine-month course designed to increase the skills of workers in the multicultural arts sector. It covers marketing and branding, cultural brokerage, communication, innovation, multicultural policy and audience development – need areas identified by Australia Council research. Now Australia’s most culturally diverse region, Western Sydney, will host a (non-accredited) intensive course in the same areas. The seven-day program will run from 30 November until 4 December, and conclude on 14-15 December. For more information, CLICK HERE
