Arts Companies Merge in Wales
Two Arts Council of Wales-funded public art organisations are set to merge. Together, Cywaith Cymru/Artworks Wales and CBAT The Arts & Regeneration Agency, Wales will create the largest public art company in the UK. “The Council recognises that the two agencies have made a valuable contribution to art in Wales and internationally; to the cultural economy and to the physical quality of urban and rural landscapes,†said the The Arts Council of Wales Chief Executive, Peter Tyndal. “We were persuaded of the natural synergies and benefits of creating a new single organisation, which will build on the successes and strengths of both agencies and will be able to take on the vision for the new relationship between Art and the Environment.†For more information, CLICK HERE
