ARTS AND HUMANITIES MONTH in the USA

October is National Arts and Humanities Month, a coast-to-coast collective celebration of USA culture. Coordinated by Americans for the Arts, it is the largest annual celebration of the arts and humanities in the USA. President Bush joined in the month-long celebrations by issuing a statement encouraging Americans to participate in the arts: "I encourage all our citizens to enjoy our rich artistic legacy by attending performances and workshops, visiting museums and national parks, and learning more about the men and women whose work entertains and inspires us," he said. The national arts and humanities month website contains a variety of resources, including a toolkit for promoting the benefits of the arts and humanities to the community.
