20 Million More Euros for Spanish Cultural Heritage

Twenty-nine projects designed to help conserve Spain’s heritage will receive 20 million Euros, the Spanish Ministry for Culture and Public Works has announced. The announcement brings money being spent on heritage to over 100 million Euros, divided between 186 projects. The ministry will consider further funding later this year. The 1% cultural loading consists of the contributions of the Ministry for Public Works for works with investments greater than 600,000 Euros. The ministries of Public Works and Culture have made great efforts over the last two years that have culminated in the definition of a financing formula that allow large and small scale projects to take place. This formula acts as co-financing of projects of Autonomous Communities and local corporations, as well as multi-year subsidy consignments. For more information (in Spanish), CLICK HERE
