Induni to head Swiss cultural programmes
Roberto Induni has taken the reigns of Pro Helvetia's Arts Programme arm. Induni stepped up to head the arts council's Programmes Department in early June. He was appointed by the executive committee of Pro Helvetia's Board of Trustees. A graduate of the University of Lausanne, Induni also studied at the Institut de hautes études en administration publique (IDHEAP) in Lausanne. He began his career as a television reporter, covering culture and society. From 2000 to 2003, he was Head of Communications for the University of Fribourg and from 2004 to 2005 he served as Director of the Swiss Aids Federation. Pro Helvetia uses a range of thematic and cross-cultural programmes to achieve its national and international goals. Thematic programmes involve issues relevant to Switzerland's culture, and are carried out in collaboration with practitioners and event organisers around the country. Cross-cultural programmes (also known as country programmes), facilitate artistic and cultural exchange between Switzerland and another country. For more information, CLICK HERE.
