N. Ireland seeks submissions
The Arts Council of Northern Ireland will shortly finish consultations on its next five-year plan. Input is being sought from artists, arts organisations and others, to help decide what policies to change and implement. The new five-year plan will run from 2006 to 2011, and will focus on some of the key elements of change reviewed by the Council. The consultations will give consideration to the restructure of local government, a reduction in funding, and the success of better planning in the 2001-2006 plan. The Council notes that there was an increase in revenue funding for the arts, a successful program for individual artists, youth, and those with disabilities, increases in promotion for arts in education and social contexts, and an improvement of internal systems. To improve on the Council's plans it is seeking submissions and consultations with interested parties. For more information, CLICK HERE.
