Taiwan Writers Translation Series published
The Council for Cultural Affairs for Taiwan will publish an English version of Taiwan Literature by Yeh Shih-t'ao. Yeh is known for his interpretations of Taiwanese literary history. This will be the fourth publication as part of the CCA's Taiwan Writers Translation Series. "This is a significant publication for Taiwanese literature. Taiwan Literature examines Taiwanese literature from the standpoint of Taiwanese identity," said Wu Ching-fa, the vice chairperson of the CCA. "Taiwan's literary history has been treated as subordinate to Mainland China's. It's urgent to introduce and promote Taiwan Literature to the world," Wu said. The publishing project has so far created 92 English versions, 26 Japanese, 17 French, 7 Dutch, 6 German, one Korean, and one Swedish. For more information, CLICK HERE.
