Arts Council England awards grants for West Midlands arts
Arts Council England has announced that it has awarded £200,000 to local arts projects through its Grants for the arts awards. A total of 29 projects throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands region will receive a share of £200,993 in the latest round of the Grants for the arts awards. In the West Midlands, the Grants for the arts programme awards over £5 million (annually) of government and National Lottery funds to arts projects being undertaken by a wide range of groups and individuals. Sally Luton, Regional Executive Director of Arts Council England, West Midlands said: ‘These awards support a wide range of arts activity across the region, opening up new opportunities for people and communities to participate in and experience the arts. We are happy to be able to fund so many projects of a high quality and these awards represent an investment in the arts for children and young people, individual artists, the arts in regeneration and the wider arts provision.’ For more information about the Grants for the arts programme, including how to make an application, CLICK HERE For further information, CLICK HERE
