Arts Council invites comments on emergent themes from public meetings
The Summary of Public Meetings document summarizes the themes that emerged from the series of meetings held with the arts sector throughout Northern Ireland during May and June. The meetings were marked by buoyant debate concerning the implications of the proposals outlined in the Review of Public Administration. The themes, such as a definite need to maintain the arms length principle, identified as important by participants at these meetings, will form part of the Arts Council’s submission to the RPA team. However, prior to making its RPA submission, Arts Council of Northern Ireland welcomes submissions of opinions from those who attended the meetings regarding whether the themes identified represent a fair and accurate reflection of the discussion held. Also, those who were unable to attend meetings are especially encouraged to add their comments at this stage.
