French Minister of Culture and Communication, Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres has attended an international documentary market in Marseilles to promote the French documentary industry. The visit signalled de Vabres’ ongoing commitment to the cinematographic sector in France, allowing further exchange of views with industry practitioners and policy makers. The Minister used the international market to advocate for the vibrancy of French docuentary production - a genre booming in the nation - with output figures strongly escalating during the last decade.
