Santiago de Cuba raises international voices in song

Santiago de Cuba will play host to the 7th International Choir Festival from November 23-30. Boasting a diverse sweep of participants, the festival will encompass concerts, conferences and workshops by world masters. Among the confirmed visiting choirs are; La Camerata Vocal from Medellín, Legato Vocal from Manizales, and the District University of Bogotá and Sakty (Colombia); the National University of San Luis (Argentina); Alaska and Peace Chorus of Seattle (US); Bydelagskoret, from Oslo (Norway); Sheffield Social Choir (UK); and Castel Flavon (Italy). Cuba is represented by: Schola Cantorum Coralina, Exaudi and Luna; the Cuban National School of Music; the Superior Arts Institute from Matanzas; and the Cuban Radio and Television Institute.
