Arts Council England announces new national dance agency

Arts Council England has announced the creation of a new national organisation to support and promote young people in dance. The new organisation, an ACE venture in association with the Department of Education and Skills, will start work in February 2004 and have an office base at the Royal Academy of Dance in London. It will identify the full range of dance activities available to young people and seek to create new partnerships across education, arts, private and community sectors. According to Peter Hewitt, Chief Executive of Arts Council England: 'The new organisation celebrates the wealth of dance happening across the country, and promises new opportunities to inspire young people in the future.’ For further information, CLICK HERE.
