Ireland and Wales team up to raise artistic profiles
Cultural Co-operation and Touring (CCAT) in Wales has announced details of a new initiative aimed at developing relationships among cultural practitioners on both sides of the Irish Sea, raising the profile of the arts in Ireland and Wales both at home and internationally. CCAT will work with professional arts organisations and individuals to support performing arts tours, touring exhibitions, co-productions and networking events as part of the initiative until the end of 2006. The program is an initiative of the Theatre Shop (Ireland) and Aberystwyth Arts Centre (Wales). Advice, practical assistance and grants will be provided to improve opportunities for collaboration and touring within the INTERREG regions of Ireland and Wales, which include regions on the South East Coast of Ireland and the West Coast of Wales.
