Australia Council initiates mentorship program
Ten young theatre artists from around Australia have been selected to take part in a national mentorship program initiated by the Australia Council for the Arts and managed by Youth Arts Queensland. The emerging artists, aged between 18 and 26, have commenced the structured nine-month mentoring partership, entitled Spark, with ten of Australia’s leading theatre and performance practitioners. ‘Spark is a unique, exciting and an extremely valuable professional development opportunity for young and emerging artists in this country,’ said Spark Advisory Committee Chair, Judith McLean. Spark is a key part of the Federal Government’s Young and Emerging Artists’ Initiative. For further information, visit the Australia Council HERE.
